We installed 2 1/4 red oak hardwood upstairs and added retro treads over pine treads on the stairs for a seamless match.

Removing carpet from stairs to reveal and refinish the hardwood beneath is a transformative process that elevated the look of this Chapel Hill home, giving it a fresh, modern appeal.

The client wanted to showcase the natural beauty of hardwood, adding warmth and elegance to their staircase. Hardwood stairs are timeless and can complement a variety of interior styles, from traditional to contemporary.
