This client for this project wanted to change the color of the factory finished maple. We took on this project and the results are stunning.

Sanding factory-finished maple floors presents unique challenges due to the tough, durable coatings applied during manufacturing. These coatings can be difficult to remove, requiring multiple sanding passes and specialized equipment. Additionally, maple wood is dense and prone to showing sanding marks if not handled carefully. Achieving a smooth, even surface demands precision and experience to avoid gouges and uneven spots. Despite these challenges, proper sanding revealed the maple’s natural beauty and prepared it for a new finish.
